Pressure Care Seating.
Pressure Care Seating has been a main part of Blueleaf from the word go. In fact, initially, seating products were the backbone of the company. Several hundred comfortable residents in continuing care and acute care facilities Blueleaf chairs are designed for heavily dependent clients to provide pressure reduction and comfort, as well as positioning during the day’s events.
Pressure reduction is provided through the use of either gel or air cells within the structure of the seat, leg rest or backrest upholstery. The chairs are finished in a 2-way stretch material offering breathability and protection against skin shear as well as excellent protection against cross-infection as the fabric can be completely sanitized.

Blueleaf now offer additional seating products for comfort, positioning and other special patient needs. These products offer basic comfort through foam seating as well as tilt and recline in some cases. The Rock-King chair offers the option of a soothing natural rocking feature for patients suffering symptoms of agitation, such as dementia.

Acute Care Seating
Blueleaf offer specialist seating products from Barton for acute care environments. The Barton chair offers tilt and recline as well as folding completely flat to form a stretcher. The arms and headrest can be adjusted so suit individual requirements, and the chair is upholstered in a 2-way stretch material that is heat welded for complete sanitization if required.
The Barton chair also offers the option of the patented Barton Transfer System which allows supine sliding transfers from bed to chair and vice versa.
